Hike & Cheese
August 6-12 

Sunday, August 6th

• Hop on a train from Saint Lazare Station to Deauville to start the adventure in Normandy.

• Check- in at the 4 start hotel Novotel Deauville.

• Join us for an exciting orientation dinner to meet the other travelers.

Tuesday, August 8th

• Head to Vimoutiers to start the Rue Du Camembert Hike, one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Normandy.

• Visit la Maison Du Camembert & La Fromagerie Le Clos du Beaumoncel and see the production of the Camembert cheese LIVE!

• Finish off the visit with delightful cheese tasting and a sip of one- of-a-kind apple juice that Normandy is known for.

• Explore le Musee du Camembert boutique for more souvenir purchases.

• Time to taste the creamy buttery goodness “Camembert” in hot dishes! Dinner at L’ardoise gourmande in Vimoutiers.

• Head back to Deauville.

Thursday, August 10th

• Say au revoir to beautiful Normandy and enjoy your road trip to Paris.

• Check-in to the 4 star stylish hotel, The Hoxton.

• learn the techniques of French pastry-making like a pro at Le Cordon Bleu, one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the world! 

Monday, August 7th

• Embark on a scenic 2- hour hike in Montviette, soaking in breathtaking views and meeting Normandy’s special cows from the surrounding farms.

• Drive to Livarot Pays d’Auge to visit a  Fromagerie and learn about Normandy’s four distinct types of cheese:   Neufchâtel, Camembert, Livarot and Pont L’eveque in a guided tour.

• Indulge in a delicious cheese tasting at the Fromagerie.

• Return to Deauville to enjoy your evening in one of the most picturesque and entertaining cities in Normandy.

Wednesday, August 9th

• A full day at Deauville, free from the hustle and bustle of previous days’ activities.

• Unwind and relax at the beach.

• Explore the city’s many breathtaking attractions.

• Shop till you drop at all the extravagant boutiques.

Friday, August 11th

• Time to meet the King of Cheese, Brie de Meaux. Take the train to
  Meaux and visit the Maison du Brie on a guided tour.

• Attend a cooking class and learn how to add Brie to your hot dishes. End the visit with authentic cheese tasting and shop for more souvenirs!

• Stop by one of the best chocolateries and taste  3-time France Champion chocolate!

• Head back to Paris and end the day with a fun quiz!
